THE FARM, NSW

a multi-generational home

Set within the rolling hinterland of northern New South Wales, this multi-generational home is conceived as both a sanctuary and a working extension of its macadamia farm setting. The design embraces a low, sprawling form that follows the natural contours of the land, minimising disturbance while maximising connection to the surrounding orchards and distant ridgelines.

Organised as a series of linked pavilions, the house allows three generations to live together with a balance of privacy and shared experience. Each wing is oriented to capture prevailing breezes and filtered light throughout the day, reducing reliance on mechanical cooling. A central communal spine anchors the home, featuring an expansive kitchen, dining, and living area that opens seamlessly to shaded outdoor spaces.
